Welcome to The Perfect Pear
Originally established in 1921, our orchard is home to several different varieties of pears and cherries growing on 140-acres spread out over five different Parkdale farm parcels. We are a working farm operation which means that we are open May-October and being located at the base of Mt. Hood, that will give you a great chance for truly lovely weather in those late Spring, Summer and early Fall months.
The Perfect Pear is nestled into an 11-acre parcel of 80-year-old Anjou and Bartlett pears that have been in our family for over four generations. Enclosed by lush foliage with stunning views of Mt. Hood to the south as well as the East Hills, our ceremony lawn is large enough to fit all of your guests plus some epic lawn games, and you’d be surprised to find that we’re also just several hundred feet away from the historic town of Parkdale, offering easy access to our space for both vendors and guests alike. Our white and natural wood pole barn and patio space offers the perfect neutral backdrop for any decor and color design that you can dream up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pick my own Vendors or are you an all-inclusive venue?
You are absolutely able to choose each and every one of your Vendors! We do not have an in-house team that you are required to use. The Perfect Pear is fully customizable which means you are welcome to bring in anyone you would like to fit into your specific vision for your wedding day.
We provide a list of our Preferred Vendors as a jumping off point and to give you some ideas of local suppliers who can meet all of your needs. We do love to keep it local and show our community our support but at the end of the day, it’s your wedding and we want you to plan it your way!
What types of events does your space at The Perfect Pear encompass?
Our space can comfortably fit all types and sizes of parties (rehearsal dinners, wedding showers, and of course, the Big Day itself) along with all of your day-of vendors (bar tender, DJ / band, catering staff, etc.).
Small events like Welcome Dinners and Bridal Lunches are also lovely in our space as it can be arranged to be super cozy for more intimate parties. Really whatever kind of experience / vibe you’re hoping for, from a micro elopement to a max blowout bash, we can help you create just that!
Do you offer any discounted pricing?
We do! We’re currently offering extra discounts for booking an event during our first wedding seasons, ‘26 or ‘27. We will also offer reduced pricing if your event meets a couple of special criteria. Contact us directly for more details and to get a quote!
What months are you open for booking events?
We are currently open to book events from May 1st through October 31st of each year, including ‘26. Since we are considered to be a primarily outdoor venue, those are the months where we typically have the loveliest weather. If your heart is set on a date that falls outside of that range though, contact us directly and we’d be happy to chat about the possibility of making that happen for you!
Do you have an indoor option in case of inclement weather?
Our venue offers the use of both our gorgeous ceremony lawn and a 1,920 sq ft pole barn with extra patio space for every event that we host. The pole barn has a north wall for privacy and protection from any bits of weather, as well as a lovely vaulted roof so that you and your guests are still able to see our stunning view of Mt. Hood from every corner of the building.
If you’re worried about cool temperatures or a drizzle on your special day, we are happy to chat about ways you can make the space more cozy - things like outdoor heaters or temporary drop-walls are easy solutions that can be brought in by several local vendors.
